How We Choose Mockups

This page explains how mockups are selected for Free Mockups: what we look for, what we review, and what happens when something changes after a mockup is listed.

1. Where we look

We search the websites of independent designers and mockup studios, portfolio platforms where creators share freebies, and suggestions sent to us directly. We aim to link to a page published by the creator.

2. What we look for

3. What we review before listing

  1. Whether the download page belongs to the creator rather than a re-upload.
  2. Whether the mockup is presented as free on that page.
  3. What license or attribution rules the creator states, so we can point you to them.
  4. File details such as format, file size and resolution, where the creator provides them.

4. How we credit creators

Each listing links to the creator’s original page and names the creator where they can be identified. The download button sends you to that page, so the creator receives the visit and you read the terms at the source. We are currently rewriting listing descriptions in our own words, with the goal that every description on the site is original.

5. Keeping listings accurate

Creators sometimes move, rename or start charging for files. We review listings periodically, roughly monthly, and we act on reports from visitors. When a mockup is no longer free or its link is gone, we point the listing to the new source or remove it.

6. Corrections and suggestions

Found a broken link, a wrong credit or a mockup that is no longer free? Tell us at roman4632@gmail.com or through the Contact page and include the page address. Creators who want to suggest their own free mockup are welcome to get in touch the same way.
